This hand dyed DK is built on a merino, linen and yak blend with a naturally soft grey undertone. The yak adds quiet depth to the base, giving colours a richer, slightly muted feel rather than bright, flat tones. Speckles appear gently and feel refined rather than bold, sitting softly against the base.
The linen brings a subtle texture to the yarn. It doesn’t take dye in the same way as the wool, but blends beautifully into the overall shade, creating a quiet, organic finish instead of high contrast. In the skein, the colour looks layered and complex. In the fabric, it reads as depth rather than variegation.
Knitted up, this yarn creates a soft DK fabric with a light rustic touch. It has structure without stiffness and a comfortable drape, making it ideal for sweaters, cardigans and generous shawls. It feels luxurious but grounded, with texture that adds interest even in simple stockinette.

I would be happy to wind your skeins into cakes at no cost, please leave a message at checkout if you'd like that. Otherwise your yarn will be shipped in skeins.
I use acid dyes that result in vibrant permanent colours. I recommend to handwash a ready item in cool water with as little movement as possible for best results. Some colours might bleed at first wash.
