Fine Leaf Fibres is an independent hand-dyed yarn shop based in Cork, Ireland, offering hand-dyed yarn for knitting and crochet alongside knitting needles, notions and accessories.
Our collection includes more than 20 yarn bases across lace, 4ply/fingering, DK and Aran/worsted weights, giving you an unusually wide choice of fibres, textures and constructions to explore. Alongside classic merino and sock yarns, you'll find distinctive blends featuring silk, baby alpaca, yak, linen, cashmere, mohair, Wensleydale, Bluefaced Leicester and other fibres, as well as bouclé, tweed, high-twist, singles and other interesting yarn structures.
Each base is carefully selected and personally tried and knitted with before being added to the shop, so the range isn't simply about offering as many options as possible. I look at how a yarn feels in the skein and while knitting, how it takes dye, how the fabric behaves, and the texture, drape and character it brings to a finished project. I particularly enjoy finding less common fibre combinations and yarn constructions that offer something different from standard commercial yarns.

Each colourway is hand-dyed in small batches in Cork. The collection ranges from bold speckles and variegated colourways to softer tonal shades, with inspiration often drawn from Irish landscapes, changing seasons and nature.
