Baby Alpaca/Pima Cotton - Sport weight - hand dyed yarn - Ready to Ship

This yarn combines 51% Baby Alpaca with 49% Peruvian Pima Cotton in an innovative blown construction. Soft alpaca fibres are carried inside a fine cotton net, producing a fabric that feels lofty, warm, and exceptionally soft against the skin. The natural brown alpaca base gives the yarn a subtle depth and richness, and when dyed, the contrast between fibres creates a gentle, lived-in look with denim-like variations.

Each 100g hank offers 300 metres, making it ideal for sweaters, cardigans, and cosy accessories. The single-ply, air-blown texture has the warmth and loft of a woollen-spun yarn, but with added durability and breathability from the cotton. Sport/DK weight makes it wonderfully versatile – light enough for layering, yet with enough body to hold shape in everyday wear.

I use acid dyes that result in vibrant permanent colours. I recommend to handwash a ready item in cool water with as little movement as possible for best results. Some colours might bleed at first wash.
